30 Day Challenge: Day 2

18.What invention would the world be better off without, and why? (Kalamazoo)

The amount of money, labor and resources which was put in to uses, have  gone to waste by building a monument called School. The invention of  the school, was a horrible idea. The world is out there, somewhere waiting for us.Learning needs to be done outside the walls of a school, it always works, subjects become more interesting and answers to questions are solved.  Schools have become the grounds for corporal punishment and ragging and bullying.Schools are set up for different social classes. Private schools are as bad as public schools. Private one's cost a lot, teachers do not need a teaching degree, less choice of subjects, students need to pass entrance exams, and they are always religious based schools. On the other hand, public schools are as bad. Larger class size, outdated books, classes are taught at mediocre levels.Schools think they  are preparing us for the world, making us good/better citizens( maybe they are), Giving us an education for a world of difference,(Woodstock School),Dedicated to producing leaders for future( Doon School.) What do these phrases mean? Schools are ranked among others comparing how well educated, diverse  their students and teachers are, how big or small the campus is.  Some schools mandate prayer.  We students have to wear uniforms. Many people think a uniform increases discipline.Does it? Schools are not what they are supposed to be, they should not be put into use.  Why do we need to be bound by rules and regulations, why do we need a name tag that tells people where we are from and treat us that way? What happened to human rights? I personally do not hate schools, I just hate the idea of sitting inside, and reading out of a book. I have nothing against the the schools mentioned above, I just do not see an idea of having a complex phrase to express the word Knowledge.
