Imagine that you are a "hero" or "heroine" for one day during any time period and under any circumstances. Write a creative essay describing your experience. (Notre Dame)
The year 2011 is ending. Climates, terrain, landscapes of the world have been changing for a millennium, but the human race has not. The streets are always full people, they over flow on to the road. The skies keep getting darker each day, filling the air with acid, and chemicals. Politicians, all waiting for their votes, and money. Animals suffer under the wrath of the humans. The noise created by the humans is unbearable. The Humans have asked all hero’s/heroine’s to leave their planet, and never come back.
I sit at my favorite spot on the moon. I am at peace. There is no chaos, just the silence of the stars, the cosmos and the universe. I sit there trying to think of the day that earth’s atmosphere was clear, the day when no tiny lights were visible on the continents, the day that the planet grew with the life.
I reflect on my past and realize that I have seen life, from the first cell division of bacteria, to the evolution of humans and their machines. I keep looking into the future, to see the fate that the humans bring upon themselves. I feel pity for them, but I do not know why. I try to change the future, but fate just keeps putting them back on track.
I do not know what to do for them. Should I take up their burdens, or leave to them. They are a young race, driven by the fear of death. They keep fighting their problems, but I see goodness in them.

I sit here on the moon just spending time, thinking about my involvement with the creatures. How will I ever come to an understanding with them? Will they ever accept me? Do they remember me?
