The third Holdiay Blog.

Question: 208.
How can a person get along with an enemy?

How should you get along your enemy? I do not know, but i can tell you what you should consider. There are three sides, to an argument, verbally physically, or do nothing at all.
The Physical side of things:
Step 1: Gather strength, understand the  situation.
Step 2: Figure out your opponents weakness, look over spots that you may have missed, and spots that you might succeed. Re-think your side of  the story, re-think his/her side of the story. Figure out what went bad. Go back to  that horrible/ happy memory and search for people that were present at the fight, find the witnesses, find out which of your witnesses were also directly involved, and indirectly involved.
Step 3 : Look for  for these people get them on your side, persuade them , black mail them,  give death threats etc. Round up as many as you can.
Step 4: Find some big people,  people who work out  lot, bullies and other big scary figures. These people are your back up plan, if things get ugly stand your ground, until there is no one left standing.
Step 5: Gather up your allies, give them a strong speech, do not tell them what could go wrong, because then they start thinking, and they might will lose focus of their real goal.
Step 6: Move out, find and locate you enemy, Beware of booby traps.
Step 5: Judge the distance between you and your enemy, understand the consequence of your actions. Intimidate him give your big friends the signal. Make sure they look mean.I do not recommend weapons, but its your choice.
Step 6: If your enemy has friends too, then put up a good fight. Beat each other up to pulp, and come to understanding.
Step 7: Beware, make sure your enemy strikes first, so by-standers will blame him for the chaos.

The verbal side of things:
Step 1: Read all the way to step 6.
Step 2: The night before the actual fight, create a speech that will blow your opponent away. Sum up your thesis and arguments and conclusion in  very few sentences. People do not like waiting. NOTE : read Thank you for Arguing. It a good book, for things like this.
Step 3: If the speech does not work go to Step 5, and hope for better results.

The side of doing nothing:
Step 1: Accept your crime, and ignore his/her crime. Let go of the past and move on.

There is so much to say.

If animals could talk, what would your pet say about you?

If animals could talk, it would be weird but at the same time  really cool. I have had dogs ever since i can remember, moving to the foothills of India. I first dog, Kajal was introduced to my family in 2001. She is the oldest of the lot. Since she is still ageing, she has been demanding a lot of things. Longer walks, longer time for sleeping in  bed, sleeping where she feels like, demanding for more food, whether its meat/pedigree in the food, or treats/ baked goods tat my sister makes. She loves baked goods. If she could talk she would, talk about the care, love and more love she has got over the years, but still feel left out since we have another dog, her son Chingu, who i favour a lot. She would  say i favour  her son more, but then for the stuff i just mentioned i she would blackmail me, into letting her get all that, but that wont happen, as long as she can chase monkeys, she is fit.
On the other hand, i have a good master - pet relationship. I favour more him, since the family thinks Kaju is getting is old, she deserves more. Since i favour him the most , everything is extended, Meals, walks, treats, but even with that he always wants more. He would praise me, and my efforts, but still say that i should do more for him.

EXperince in the Field.

Question 241: What are some things you observed today?

Last summer, two weeks after into my holidays began, life at home was terrible. The heat of the day would give have given me heat stroke and staying at home would have given me boredom stoke. Both can be fatal. So, I figure why would I want to endure such pain, I would be better if doing something productive. Therefore, this winter, a day after my holidays began; I became a volunteer at Camp Forktail Creek. I thought I would see some wildlife, learn some wildlife and about the forest ecosystem and other things related to forest and habitat, and ways of protecting a Corbett National Park, from tourist and poachers. I was not looking forward to anything, because the forest can be very hard, and depressing.  This is what I was thinking in my car back at home, before travelling to camp. It has been five days since I have been here. It is hard, working and trying to make your time worthwhile. Ife is really hard behind the scenes. There is always something happening, that I would not notice if I were a tourist at camp. Shelter and food is provided in return for work at and around camp, along with the few chances of learning the fauna and flora. I work, I eat, I learn, I sleep. It’s the same every day. This experience gives me a chance to experience the real world, not the tiny little bubble that is created by our families, friends and teachers to keep us safe from the big bad world. At my time here, I have observed that simplicity is so great and wonderful. There is no traffic, no body screaming on the on the road, or from one hillside to another, there are no moneys terrorizing the place. Being surrounded by thick lantana Bushes, and tall Sal and Tee trees, and other small animals and birds is nice.

Crazy stuff.

Question 36: Select an issue that is of importance to you and discuss your views.( New College University of South Florida)

Portable drinking water is hard to locate these days. Even though water sources are present everywhere, it is either salt water or stagnant water that has waste dumped in it every day, by individuals living along the water body, or the government has made it a spot for all the city waste to be dumped there. One – third of the world population does not have clean drinking water. For people living in the cities they have water coming to them from the water recycling plants, or from the desalination plants along the coast along the coast  line, or water coming from dams and other hydro – electric units.
A few days backs, on my visit to a worm culture farm, I passed through a village called, Mankanpur, Uttarkhand ( India). I saw man made channels for flowing water, all along the road. These structures moved for few kilometers on either side of the road, till where the land for agriculture stopped. We had stopped for lunch, at a Dhaba: A Dhaba is an Indian fast food place. At the Dhaba, my Boss Minakshi, co- head at Camp Forktail Creek, talked to me and the other volunteers about water problems. The water flowing is used by each individual house hold, for drinking, cooking, washing clothes and agriculture. The water is also used to clean the road. There is a lot of in-organic waste that is polluting this non-stop flow of water coming from small stream  on the river bed. The water is also prone to diseases, and other water borne insects that breed easily, and can create chaos among the people living there. It is disgusting. Everyone  knows what is in the water, where it has been, but the people living along the road are ignorant. Their mind set is based on the fact that if the water is flowing, it will remain clean.
Water recycling has become excessive, and It probably should stop. These channels of water can be seen all over the country, at every agriculture based state. Since, clean water is hard to provide to every household, risks need to be taken for future development.

30 Day challenge : The End XD

What do you think people who know you would be surprised to learn about you? Limit your response to one page.(Rice University)
I hate technology, I know my friends and family will disagree, but everything keeps getting newer each day. It takes so long figuring out the item I have, and then i dream about the new item that has just released, it’s so hard. I do not feel that college is big thing; i do not think college is my best option, but that’s not what my parents will say. People never believe that i take my dogs out for walk; they think I’m too lazy; i am the most responsible person in my family. I do not freak out in the middle of a crisis, maybe sometimes i do if it the problem is directed to me, i hate it people do not listen to me, everyone thinks he won’t mind, but i do mind. I am tolerant, my friends keep teasing me, but that does not matter, since i do not care in anyway about them. I do not lose my cool that easily, My sister is the total opposite of me, people think she is just like me, people think she an angel, you are wrong. I am the angel in the family, she the devil. My dogs come first in the family them me and then my sister. I never have an idea about what going on; everyone thinks I am always in deep thought. Anyone can shout at me, curse me, do dung to me, i won’t react. I won’t throw a tantrum, or start shouting back. I do not think any of those ways are the best way to solve any problem. I hate all those boys and girls, who act cocky because I never have a comeback. Is having a comeback that really necessary. My mind is at peace. I love to play all sorts of action, killing blood bath games. I do not play for day’s continuously, i am not addicted. I only play on the weekend, if i can. I still have to learn and suprise myslef, on what I never knew.

30 Day Challenge: Day 29

Imagine that you have the opportunity to travel back through time. At what point in history would you like to stop and why? (Swarthmore)

Time is priceless, and it would be shame to waste it. Everyone wastes whether they know it or not, and then cry about it because they never have the time. I have  hit my head against the wall for not using time allotted wisely, and i have also enjoyed wasting time. My global issues class has been a bad choice, not a worse choice I think. You would expect to know global issues in a global issues class. I never knew them neither did my fellow class mates except for one. I did not except to do badly in that class, I did not expect my teacher to get changed thrice. I did not expect to have a senior - senior citizen teach us, and create havoc over the smallest issues in class. If I had the chance, i would go back to the day i chose my subjects for the semester. The list would include two math courses, one English course, one or two science courses, one economics course.
I would go back to the time I was standing in line, waiting in line to meet the counsellor, to give in the subjects I plan to take for the first semester of 2011. The semester is ending, and i feel that the classes I took have been worthless, and time consuming. I could have used that time better in the fall of 2012(that’s when school starts), and for the last six months I would have learnt Environmental Science. The subject global issues cannot be dropped since it is part of the Indian transcript, i would have faced anyways it due time, but my choice at the time for choosing subjects was bad timing.
